numb to the world

And sometimes

it just hits me out of nowhere,

all of a sudden

this overwhelming

sadness

rushes over me.

And I get

d i s c o u r a g e d

and I get

u p s e t

and I feel

h o p e l e s s,

s a d,

and h u r t.

And once again,

I feel numb to the world.
